| ...I'd spend it on drink. How do you spend your money on drink? Buy and take home, or drink in bars and restaurants. Do you think you spend too much? Or too little? Please discuss... | |

| I finally figured out why, after over two months out of Sacramento, I keep coming back to this site. I get to do stand-up on my own terms. No comped drinks, and the pay is lousy, but at least I get to make wisecracks in front of my friends. ""I love 'ya -- yer a wunnerful audience, I'll be her all week...how's yer steak, sir?"" What's your reason for hanging around here? | |

| I've been thinking about the ""suburban"" comment that Ragabash made about Crewboss. I wonder if Sacramento isn't entirely 100% suburban because even the so-called mid-town area doesn't fit the definition of 'urban' because Sacramento really doesn't have a center in the cultural sense. Only a tiny percentage of Sac's population ever spends much time downtown, which is essentially a boarded up combat zone and not a vibrant, city center (theaters, exclusive shopping on a comprehensive scale, etc.) that San Francisco has. I think that in Sacramento, most all needs are filled in shopping centers, and not by the area surrounding, say, 10th and J. Is Sacramento 100% suburban? Just a thought... | |

| Any cool new restaurants in Sacramento since the summer? Not corporado chain places, but unique owner-operator places. Sacramento is a good town for cheap little joints. | |

Happy Winter Solstice everyone. It's the root of ALL of the holidays this time of year. It keeps happening every year, and nobody can do anything about it. Now we can begin to enjoy longer days. Until the Summer Solstice. |

Right now it's just after 1 a.m. on January 1st here. What do you think will be the most significant thing to happen to you in 2006? For me, I have no idea right now. |
